Flexible In terms of application
Redline systems are built on a "universal“ model/multi-task rather than single model/single task approach. This means that a Redline model can be re-fitted for a different task by simply replacing the media convertor.
Easy to install
An installation team consists of 2 people. The bulk of the installation time is taken up by installing the brackets and cables. Alignment of the transceivers normally takes between 10 and 30 minutes.
Transparent in terms of signal format
Redline is, in effect, a transparent optical pipe and requires no reformatting of information. This ensures the integrity of the information transmitted between the transceivers and avoids problems relating to changing data formatting standards.
Multi-protocol
Redline systems work with any protocol (SONET, SDH, ATM, IP, Ethernet etc.)
